PLS 3rd Learning’s SuperEval product was designed to save school districts time by streamlining the superintendent evaluation process, which traditionally is manual and conducted by the board president.

A new web-based product launched by Buffalo technology company PLS 3rd Learning simplifies the process of evaluating school superintendents.

Unveiled in September at the Council of School Superintendent’s Fall Leadership Summit in Saratoga Springs, PLS 3rd Learning’s SuperEval product was designed to save school districts time by streamlining the superintendent evaluation process, which traditionally is manual and conducted by the board president.

A company spokeswoman said that in its dealings with many in K-12 education, PLS 3rd Learning learned that the process to evaluate superintendents was complex and included creating large binders of materials. It was decided to explore the possibility of putting the process online and make things easier.

The product will be sold on a subscription basis. School districts and superintendents comprise the target customer bases. The cost for a subscription start at about $1,500 per year. A district in Long Island became the first to buy a subscription.

About 50 work at PLS 3rd Learning, which is located at 678 Main Street. The company is expanding to the 686 Main Street building in the coming weeks.
