HP Co. Foundation is putting 188 acres of open land in Roseville up for sale.

The scenic site, called Blue Oaks at the Preserve, is just west of the company’s Hewlett-Packard Co. campus at 8000 Foothills Blvd.

The land has been entitled for up to 1.6 million square feet of light industrial development. It could be rezoned to residential, office or other industrial uses.

Access to the site is off Blue Oaks Boulevard. The parcel is bounded to the north and the west by residential neighborhoods. To the south is a city open space preserve and the Woodcreek Oaks Golf Course. Hewlett-Packard’s Roseville campus is due east of the site.

There is no price listed. The property is being marketed by the Sacramento office of real estate brokerage Cushman & Wakefield, which did not return calls for comment on the listing.

The computer maker has had the property for years as reserve real estate.

Hewlett-Packard in recent years has downsized its Roseville operation, though it still has a sizeable and active campus with about 3,000 employees.

Quality Investment Properties owns 60 acres on the north side of the campus Hewlett-Packerd began developing in the 1980s.

In October of last year Sutter Health announced it would consolidate 1,000 back-office jobs from around Northern California at the property, and the healthcare giant signed a 10-year lease with Quality for 295,000 square feet. The first Sutter employees could move in early this year.
