A construction permit indicates this home decor superstore has plans for midtown Charlotte.
James R. Vannoy & Sons has received a permit for At Home to be located at 900 Metropolitan Ave, suite 1. That permit lists costs in excess of $1.7 million.
A spokeswoman for At Home declined to comment on Monday. This would mark the third location for the brand in the Charlotte market, following locations in Concord Mills and Pineville.
That location has been vacant since early this year, when BJ’s Wholesale Club Holdings Inc. (NYSE: BJ) shuttered its midtown store after roughly four years.
That 101,000-square foot store was previously occupied by Home Depot.
At Home offers more than 50,000 products carrying furniture and rugs, wall and home decor, bedding and patio and garden products.
The retailer is headquartered in Plano, Texas. It operates more than 200 stores in 40 states.
