“We focus on the artisanal craft of creating things from scratch and by hand using local ingredients,” says Madison Patrizi. She and husband Raffaele are behind Mano Bella Artisan Foods, which is now open uptown.

Mano Bella Artisan Foods is ramping up operations uptown.

The Italian specialty food purveyor is currently in its soft-opening phase at The Market at 7th Street. It will continue to expand its products and offerings over the next few weeks.

Expect the bricks-and-mortar storefront to offer sauces and handcrafted pastas. Options such as fresh, extruded organic semolina, whole wheat and gluten-free pastas will be available by the pound.

There also will be soups, desserts and baked goods along with an assortment of Italian-inspired grocery items and local produce.

Customers will find signature risotto mixes alongside staples such as Pangratato — or Durum breadcrumbs — and seasoning packets for dipping oil.

“We focus on the artisanal craft of creating things from scratch and by hand using local ingredients,” says Madison Patrizi.

She and her husband, chef Raffaele Patrizi, are behind the concept. They built a following at local farmers markets. The couple has sourced from local farms and other artisans for seasonal produce, freshly milled flours, eggs and dairy items.

“It’s all about connection — to our food and to the people who grow, shape and sell it,” Madison says.

The uptown space will offer a menu of dine-in and takeout meals and snacks. A signature dish will be Pasta alla Routa, where fresh-cooked pasta is tossed in a wheel of aged Parmigiano Reggiano.

The storefront, formerly Orrman’s Cheese Shop, draws inspiration from the bottegas found throughout Italy. Think rustic wood finishes, deep red trim and a chalkboard menu. Hours will be 11a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
