The home went on the market in June.

A Davis Islands home has sold for $15 million, setting a record price per square foot for Hillsborough and Pinellas counties.

The home at 78 Adalia Ave. sold for $2,137 per square foot, according to the Multiple Listing Service. Jennifer Zales of Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate represented the buyer and the seller, according to the MLS.

The $1,000 per-square-foot threshold is one that luxury home sales in Hillsborough and Pinellas counties did not regularly cross until 2020. An influx of luxury buyers from New York and California sent prices to new records.

Zales declined comment on the transaction. The home hit the market in June priced at $16 million. It is the highest-priced home sale for Hillsborough and Pinellas so far in 2022; Zales also sold 2022's second-highest priced home in those counties: 48 Adalia Ave. sold on Sept. 16 for $12.3 million.

The sellers, Mark and Natalia Levey, have owned the property since 2012 and built the 7,017-square-foot home in 2015, according to Hillsborough County property records.

A deed for the transaction has not yet been filed in Hillsborough County.
