Minnesota's 100 Largest Private Companies

Ranked by 2022 revenue

Locally Researched by: Ethan Nelson, Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal

Companies are ranked by revenue. To qualify, a company must have headquarters in Minnesota, be a for-profit operation and not issue stock to the general public. Included on The List are cooperatives and mutually owned companies; excluded are charitable foundations, government agencies (including Indian-owned casinos), car dealerships, subsidiaries of public companies and firms reporting to out-of-state operating parents. Revenue is typically from fiscal year 2022. Some revenue figures were estimated using data from Securities and Exchange Commission filings, specialized databases, industry competitors, company websites, and observations of company and industry trends. All estimated figures are footnoted with source. “NA” or not applicable, appears in the one-year change column if either the 2021 or 2022 fiscal year revenue was estimated; “NA” appears if companies did not provide an employee count or if an estimation was not available. Revenue figures for companies are rounded to the second decimal. Companies that appear to have the same revenue figure but are not tied is due to rounding.
