The new 40 Under 40 class represents some of the major industries powering the Capital Region economy: real estate, manufacturing, health care, finance and law.

Amber Mathias started her career as an event planner and Realtor before joining fast-growing Bonacio Development in 2020. She has become the company's go-to resource for the planning, implementation and tracking of all its complex projects.

Chris Ramsey was 16 when he made his first real estate investment. He now has a portfolio of 200 apartments throughout the region, a software company and is always on the lookout for deals as COO of Liedkie Moving & Storage.

And Timmy Oh founded a tech company that develops a safer way to store firearms – an idea he got when he was 17 years old. After overcoming a supply chain crunch, Vara Safety is back on a growth trajectory, reaching profitability last year and continuing to attract investors.

These are three more names that make up the 40 Under 40 Class of 2024.

Honorees were selected by a committee from a pool of about 250 nominations. The first group of 2024 40 Under 40 honorees was announced Monday. Here is the second half:

The 40 Under 40 Class of 2024 will be celebrated at a luncheon at the Albany Capital Center and in the weekly edition of the Business Review on May 17.
