Enterprise Bank freed up some room at its Overland Park regional headquarters by establishing a new office and moving many of its local executives there.

Outgrowing its local headquarters in Overland Park, Enterprise Bank & Trust moved most of its local executive team to a new office in Mission to make more room.

Adam Kilpatrick, Kansas City market president for Enterprise Bank, said the bank’s local headquarters at 12695 Metcalf Ave. was bursting at the seams. Enterprise Bank employs 188 people in the Kansas City area, up from 176 a year ago. It moved 34 people into a new 14,408-square-foot office at 6329 Glenwood St. in Mission to make more room in the former office.

“It’s mainly leaders within the company who work throughout our regions, managing teams in other markets, but who are based here in Kansas City,” Kilpatrick said. “We've also got what we call our wholesale team, which is really our commercial lending team and all of the ancillary services like treasury management, private banking and all of the product partners who really support our commercial lending platform.”

There is no bank branch at the new office in Mission. But it does include a training and entertainment area.

“We created a space where we could collaborate with our teams, bring in our customers, host events and really just foster as much networking internally and externally with the community as we can,” Kilpatrick said. “There was a lot of thought put into how we built that space, because it will be used for events, a boardroom, training and committee meetings.”

The new office also includes some temporary space for employees who are passing through the area and need a place to stop and get work done. The plan is to offer "hotel" space at all of its locations throughout the city to accommodate team members who move throughout the region and don’t need a permanent space.

“We’re really proud of the new office and excited about it,” Kilpatrick said. “We wanted a space for collaboration, that was more central, that helped us grow in a focused manner and we now have the ability to do that.”
